Privacy and cookie policy

What data we collect
- Data you give us in the forms: name, email, phone, message and request details (sport, service, dates, chosen school).
- Usage data (pages visited, campaign source): only if you accept statistics cookies.
- Technical data: IP address and browser, used for site security and spam protection of the forms.
Why we use them and on what legal basis
- Replying to messages and forwarding requests to schools: pre-contractual steps you asked for and, for sharing with schools, your consent.
- Site usage statistics (Google Analytics): your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Security and spam prevention: the controller's legitimate interest.
Forwarding your request to schools
When you send a request for a course or a rental and accept sharing, SicilWind forwards your name, email, phone, sport, dates and message to one or more schools or centres in the Stagnone lagoon that match your request. Each school processes the data as an independent controller, only to contact you about availability, price and conditions, under its own privacy policy. SicilWind receives no payment from the schools.
Third-party services
Transfers to countries outside the European Union rely on the safeguards provided by the suppliers (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions).
- Vercel Inc. (United States): website hosting.
- Render Services, Inc. (United States): hosting of the backend where requests are stored.
- Cloudinary Ltd. (Israel): image hosting.
- Resend, Inc. (United States): sending confirmation emails and forwarding requests to schools.
- Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics 4): statistics, only with your consent. Events are sent from our server, with no Google script in your browser.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (Turnstile): spam protection for the forms.
- OpenFreeMap: map tiles.
How long we keep data
- Requests and messages sent through the forms: 24 months from sending, then deleted.
- Statistics: according to the Google Analytics retention settings.
- Cookies: for the duration shown in the table below.
Your rights
You can ask at any time for access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, object to processing and withdraw your consent by writing to info@sicilwind.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
